WASHINGTON, D.C. (Dec. 9, 2014) – The Population Health Alliance, (PHA)aleading non-profit organization dedicatedto advancing the principles of population health, announced today that it has welcomed Bravo Wellness, an outcomes-based wellness program provider, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, as its newest member.

“The practice of population health management is expanding and evolving at a rapid, exciting pace – particularly around the use of incentives,” said Fred Goldstein, executive director of the Population Health Alliance. “We’re thrilled to welcome Bravo Wellness to the alliance, and to our collective efforts to navigate changes and continue to improve health outcomes across populations.

PHA members work in a collaborative environment, and charter the agenda for the population health industry as a whole, through advocacy and research efforts. This results in a community that shares information, data and outcomes among employers, payers, innovative technology startups, long-term providers of population health management solutions, and others.

Bravo Wellness describes itself as adisruptive force in the wellness industry since its inception in 2008. Bravo pioneered the outcomes-based wellness incentive space and carefully designs compliant incentives that result in unprecedented engagement levels. Bravo’s case studies prove and demonstrate sustained health improvement and reduced claims spending – all while equipping individuals to make better choices and providing thoughtful alternatives to those for whom special exceptions are warranted. With roots in data management, compliance and technology, Bravo recognizes that it’s rarely the lack of activities that makes a program unsuccessful, it’s often the lack of motivation and engagement – a problem that can be solved.
